First I started to collect and to record all existing sounds inside of my house, walking from the roof, attic, basement ... I put the microphone whenever it was possible recording even a mouse whimper and the work of the worms in wooden roof beams ... to all these recordings I added the voices of the living household as well as the voices of the deceased from the recordings I kept, my grandmother and other, also the voices of now adults when they were small children. It was one big sound album of my house, my family and many of those who spent some time in my house. With this sound vault I went to Paris to the studio of Radio France who invited me to make a piece. The first day I enter the studio I suddenly changed my mind. From the reason I can't explain easily I gave up the idea of using real world sounds and decided to "record only dreams about the sounds of my home" no matter wherever this undertaking took me. I realized that a house is not just the real sounds of people and other beings living in it. It's much more than that or at least something very different, complicated and I would say elusive. Are dreams of a house closer to some truth in the home we live in? I don't know. I dream and keep quiet. Great film author Terrence Malick used Ma mason itwice in his movies.
